February 15 – Afghan writer and academic Ismail Yun met with members of the Afghan diaspora in Vienna to discuss Afghanistan’s current challenges and explore pathways for stability and development.

Hosted by Afghan diaspora organization, Afghan Kor, the discussion focused on education, governance, economic recovery, and the role of the diaspora in contributing to positive change.

Yun, currently on a ten-day tour across Europe, emphasized the importance of knowledge-sharing and collaboration among Afghans abroad. Participants shared their perspectives on key issues, including:

🔹 Access to education, particularly the reopening of schools for girls
🔹 The importance of qualified leadership in governance
🔹 Strengthening local industries through better market opportunities
🔹 Encouraging investment to support economic growth

The conversation also touched on broader social and political challenges, highlighting the need for continued engagement and dialogue. The event reflected ongoing efforts to connect Afghan diaspora communities with discussions on Afghanistan’s future.
